Frank Mir


Frank Mir, born on May 24, 1979, in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a renowned American mixed martial artist and former UFC Heavyweight Champion. Known for his ​exceptional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills, Mir made his professional MMA debut in 2001 and quickly rose to prominence in the UFC.

In 2004, he won the UFC Heavyweight Championship by defeating Tim Sylvia via a first-round armbar. However, his career was interrupted by a severe ​motorcycle accident later that year, leading to a lengthy recovery and the loss of his title.
